Get funding from the State of Texas to train your employees!
The State of Texas uses its Skills Development Fund (SDF, http://www.twc.state.tx.us/partners/skills-development-fund) to pay Texas companies for employee training to increase skill levels and wages of the Texas workforce. The Texas Workforce Commission administers funding for the program. The Skills Development Fund program assists businesses by financing the design and implementation of customized job-training projects. This fund successfully merges business needs and local customized training opportunities into a winning formula to improve the Texas economy. The grant is administered by a local community college partner and training is delivered by Saisoft as the college’s training provider.

What Saisoft does to get you training funds from the State
Saisoft provides comprehensive services that run the entire lifecycle of the SDF project; working with the grant officer at your local community college, assisting with preparing the grant application and delivering the training. Here is the detailed scope of services Saisoft performs for you:

a. Training Needs Assessment: This activity is critical in ensuring a good fit between the training needs of your company and the grant award criteria.

b. Understand how the company currently conducts employee training, its upcoming training goals and see how SDF funded training fits into the overall training plan.

c. Discuss training subjects the company needs, shortlist training subjects that SDF pays for and exclude subjects it does not fund.

d. Evaluate who, what and when of the planned training: Who is the trainee population that the company needs to train, what are the subjects/topics that the employees need training in and what is the approximate time frame in which above training will be conducted.

e. Assist the Community College with the grant application: Saisoft facilitates the process by gathering information and clarifying the program requirements to the employers.

f. Deliver the agreed upon training while meeting all SDF regulations.

g. Assist the Community College partner with record keeping requirements and reporting for a successful grant closeout.
